About Causalytics

We measure change with the people responsible for the work.

Causalytics helps healthcare organizations and technology vendors determine whether an intervention worked, for whom, under what conditions, and at what attributable value. We build the evaluation with the people who understand the work and must act on the result.

What Causalytics does

Causalytics evaluates internal programs, operational changes, and vendor deployments to determine what the available evidence supports about causal impact and attributable return on investment.

When the evidence needed for evaluation is not being captured, we can help design a bounded, governed implementation that records exposure, context, decisions, costs, and outcomes. Implementation supports the measurement. It is not the company category.

01 / OBSERVE

Start with actual work

Study the case, people, evidence, clocks, policy, handoffs, and current baseline before specifying a system.

02 / COLLABORATE

Change the workflow together

Work with operators, policy owners, security, evaluation, and affected stakeholders to define a bounded intervention.

03 / MEASURE

Determine what changed

Use a Measurement Contract and causal analysis to estimate outcomes, attributable value, uncertainty, and limits.

Why the company exists

Healthcare organizations invest in programs, operating changes, and vendors because they expect better outcomes. They often receive activity measures, testimonials, modeled savings, or before-and-after comparisons that cannot establish how much of the observed change was caused by the intervention.

Causalytics exists to close that evidence gap. The Measurement Contract fixes the question, comparison, outcome, costs, and claim rules before results are interpreted. Causal analysis estimates the effect and tests its assumptions. The Impact Passport records the estimate, uncertainty, attributable value, limitations, lineage, and exact claim the evidence permits.

Where the evidence cannot support attribution, Causalytics reports a more limited conclusion or withholds the claim. A defensible negative or inconclusive result is more useful than a precise number built on an unsupported comparison.

OUR METHOD

Observe the work.
Change the workflow together.
Measure outcomes.

We begin with how people actually work, collaborate with them on a bounded change, and measure whether that change produced the intended result.

Company model

The company model combines open foundations for operational instruments with professional infrastructure for secure construction and operation. A portion of commercial capacity supports the public ecosystem.

OPEN FOUNDATION

Shared specifications for credible evidence

The open foundation is designed to include Measurement Contracts, Impact Passports, causal protocols, Control Passports, and reference validation tools. Organizations retain access to their evaluation artifacts independently of Causalytics.

PROFESSIONAL EVALUATION

Independent causal impact and ROI analysis

Organizations pay for evidence-readiness assessment, evaluation design, secure analysis, causal estimation, full-cost ROI, Impact Passports, and ongoing measurement support. Governed implementation is available when better evidence capture is required.

REINVESTMENT

Support for the public ecosystem

Commercial revenue supports the open foundation, documentation, education, and access for mission-driven organizations with limited technical resources.

Our operating principles

The framework remains the authority

Approved policy is rendered faithfully and versioned. Research and model output never silently become institutional rules. Missing authority stays visibly unresolved.

The case is the primary unit

Analytics appear inside the decision step they inform. Interface elements are included when they change what a specialist can understand or do.

Judgment remains accountable

Models may extract and summarize. Deterministic systems may validate and derive. Consequential interpretations and dispositions remain with named people.

The record is a by-product of the work

Who acted, what changed, why, and under which authority are captured at the moment of action. Corrections append; they do not rewrite history.

Controls run

Security, privacy, accessibility, testing, data minimization, and monitoring requirements are implemented and supported by evidence.

Causal claims remain proportional to evidence

Operational improvement, association, and causal effect are reported as different claims. Assumptions, comparison design, uncertainty, subgroup effects, and limitations remain visible.

Our public-benefit commitments

  • Open foundations: make core specifications, causal protocols, and selected reference tools available for public use, scrutiny, and extension.
  • Responsible automation: build systems that strengthen expert judgment and human accountability instead of obscuring them.
  • Broad access: support education and pathways for public-interest and resource-constrained organizations to use the work.
  • Transparency: report what we released, what benefit it produced, where it fell short, and what we changed.
  • Durability: build a sustainable commercial company capable of maintaining the public foundation over the long term.

Public Benefit Corporation is our legal form and operating commitment. It is distinct from third-party Certified B Corporation status; we do not claim that certification.

Who is building it

Founded by Akbar Akbari Esfahani

Akbar’s work spans causal inference, program evaluation, regulated operations, applied analytics, organizational AI strategy, knowledge systems, governance assessment, and secure application engineering. This experience informs Causalytics’ focus on systems that support institutional decisions and produce credible evidence about their results.

Bring one intervention and the decision it must inform.

The current focus is to evaluate healthcare interventions and vendor deployments with organization-neutral methods, validate the approach through authorized partnerships, and establish reusable public and commercial foundations.
