Causalytics is a public benefit company and a causal science practice. We publish a weekly data brief on U.S. healthcare, keep our measurement methods open, and build Veritas, the request layer for enterprise software: the layer between the person who needs a tool and the developer or coding agent who builds it, keeping each request attached to its evidence, controls, decisions, and production outcomes. ConstructPolicies, for construction requirements research, is its flagship use case.
Start with the people
doing the work.
A useful tool begins with a real task, a person responsible for it, and a clear understanding of what can go wrong.
For the briefs, that means the policy analyst, journalist, or health system leader who needs to know whether a number is a count, a comparison, or a cause before acting on it. For Veritas, it means the requester, reviewer, and engineer who need one record that says what was asked, what evidence was found, which controls applied, who decided, and what production showed. For ConstructPolicies, it means the estimator or project manager working through scattered codes, agency pages, and unresolved questions. In both cases we want the evidence to be easier to inspect, without disguising uncertainty or taking authority away from qualified people.

We collaborate with the people who will use the product and test whether the change helps.
For an initial pilot, we would agree on measures such as research time, missed requirements, review quality, and preventable revisions. These are outcomes to evaluate, not benefits we claim to have already achieved.
The same standard applies to our own claims. Product activity alone is not proof of value, and a favorable trend is not proof of an effect.

Founded by Akbar Akbari Esfahani
Akbar’s work spans causal inference, program evaluation, applied analytics, knowledge systems, and application engineering. The briefs apply those foundations to public healthcare data; Veritas applies them to how organizations govern the work they build.
